Synopsis:
General Note: Shadowheart is a potential avatar or companion. She is a worshipper of the dark goddess Shar, sent on a secret mission, the purpose of which is pivotal to the overall plot. The full truth of what she's up to will only be revealed over time.
Situation Summary: The same as the player, Shadowheart has just survived the Nautiloid crash. Prior to this, she was also kidnapped by the mind flayers and tadpoled. Now the player encounters her a short distance from the crash wreckage, trying to break down an ancient door set in the bottom of a cliff face. Around her are several dead intellect devourers - she's had to defend herself since the crash. Becoming aware of the player, she recognises a fellow survivor, and the fact that they too are tadpoled. She explains that she's trying to get through the door in search of supplies or shelter. The player has a chance to suggest they team up and try to survive. She's cagey about other matters when asked - she seems unwilling or unable to go into her background in any great detail.
If the player encountered her during the tutorial section, she'll react to this (including whether they tried to help her or not). If the player is githyanki, she'll be more aggressive and difficult to win over.
JLatino: It's important to remember that SH is tired, exhausted and along. She just survived the crash of an alien vessel on which she was held prisoner. She's sizing the player up as a threat, while knowing she doesn't have a lot in the tank to fight back if it comes to it.

10. : But we mightn't survive these things in our heads. They're going to consume us from the inside and turn us into mind flayers.
181. Player: You know about mind flayers? Tell me everything.
269. : I don't know much, but enough to be afraid. This is how they breed. We host their spawn, and once they're ready, they'll tear right through us.

334. : I'm sure enough. This is how the mind flayers breed. We host their spawn, and once they're ready, they'll tear right through us.
